The pressure rating of PVC pipe and fittings reduces with increasing temperature. To calculate the actual pressure rating of the product at each temperature, the noted pressure rating must be multiplied by the 'de-rating multiple', as explained on our PVC category page.

The temperature derating table of this fitting is as follows:

PVC pipe has a recommended operating temperature of 0 - 60° centigrade (32 - 140°F).

This 1 1/2" : 50mm plain adaptor socket is compatible with 1 1/2" PVC pressure pipe and spigot fittings, and 50mm PVC pressure pipe and spigot fittings. 1 1/2" pipe actually has an outside diameter of 48.3mm.

1 1/2" pipes or spigot fittings (measuring 48.3mm outer diameter) will slot inside one end of this socket to be solvent welded, and 50mm pipes or spigot fittings will slot inside the other end.
