The pressure rating of PVC pipe and fittings reduces with increasing temperature. To calculate the actual pressure rating of the product at each temperature, the noted pressure rating must be multiplied by the 'de-rating multiple', as explained on our PVC category page.

The temperature derating table of this fitting is as follows:

PVC pipe has a recommended operating temperature of 0 - 60° centigrade (32 - 140°F).

This 75mm to 2 1/2" plain to threaded coupler is compatible with 75mm and 2 1/2" PVC pressure pipe and spigot fittings, and the 2 1/2" BSP male threaded end of imperial and metric fittings.

75mm or 2 1/2" pipes or spigot fittings (both measuring 75mm outer diameter) will slot inside the plain end of this socket to be solvent welded. 2 1/2" male BSP fittings will thread into the female threaded end of this socket.

PVC (or PVCU) is one of the most widely used plastics in general industry. Its ease of installation, rigidity, WRAS approval, and low price point compared to many other plastics makes it ideal for applications such as:

• Factories and general process industries
• Swimming pools and spas
• Aquaculture, hydroponics, and aquaponics
• Agriculture and irrigation
• Water processing and treatment

In addition, PVC pipe also finds its way into many domestic applications, including:

• Salt and freshwater aquaria
• Ponds and water features
• Home pools, hot tubs, and spas
• Micro irrigation
