The pressure rating of PVC pipe and fittings reduces with increasing temperature. To calculate the actual pressure rating of the product at each temperature, the noted pressure rating must be multiplied by the 'de-rating multiple', as explained on our PVC category page.

The temperature derating table of this fitting is as follows:

PVC pipe has a recommended operating temperature of 0 - 60° centigrade (32 - 140°F).

This 40mm x 40/42mm plain spigot hose connector is compatible with 40mm PVC pressure socket fittings, and 40mm to 42mm ID flexible hoses. It is not compatible with imperial PVC pressure pipes or fittings.

The 40mm outer diameter on the spigot end of this spigot hose connector will slot inside the socket end of a plain 40mm fitting. 40mm to 42mm ID flexible hoses will push over the 40mm/42mm barbed end of this spigot hose connector and be secured by adjustable hose clips.
