The pressure rating of PVC pipe and fittings reduces with increasing temperature. To calculate the actual pressure rating of the product at each temperature, the noted pressure rating must be multiplied by the 'de-rating multiple', as explained on our PVC category page.
The temperature derating table of this fitting is as follows:

This 40mm / 1 1/4" galvanised backing ring is compatible with 40mm or 1 1/4" PVC stub flanges, and 40mm or 1 1/4" full face gaskets.
It will slot over 40mm or 1 1/4" stub flange socket ends and be used with 40mm or 1 1/4" full face gaskets to bolt the flange to another stub and backing ring or a full face flange.
