The pressure rating of PVC pipe and fittings reduces with increasing temperature. To calculate the actual pressure rating of the product at each temperature, the noted pressure rating must be multiplied by the 'de-rating multiple', as explained on our PVC category page.

The temperature derating table of this fitting is as follows:

PVC pipe has a recommended operating temperature of 0 - 60° centigrade (32 - 140°F).

This 16/20mm x 3/8" plain to threaded spigot FBSP adaptor is compatible with 20mm PVC plain socket-ended fittings, 16mm PVC pressure pipe, and 3/8" BSP male threaded fittings. The solvent weld end is not compatible with inch PVC socket-ended fittings or inch PVC pipe. The BSP female threaded end is compatible with BSP male threads on both inch and metric fittings. 3/8" pipe actually has an outside diameter of 17.1mm.

The 20mm spigot end (measuring 20mm outside diameter) of this plain to threaded spigot adaptor will slot inside the socket end of a 20mm fitting to be solvent welded. 16mm pipe (measuring 16mm outside diameter) will slot inside the 16mm socket end of this fitting to be solvent welded. 3/8" male BSP threaded fittings will thread into the female threaded end of this spigot reinforced adaptor.
