Plimat Pipe and Fittings

Plastic Pipe Shop Ltd are authorised UK distributors for Plimat PVC and ABS pipes and fittings and Plimex valves. In addition to carrying our own stocks, we have instant access to Plimat's UK warehouse and can ship, next working day, direct from there to you if required.

First established in 1978, the Plimat brand is manufactured in Portugal by Plasticos Industrial Matos, SA, part of the Matos group of companies which include a plastic injection mould making company and a custom injection moulding company. In 2000 the company established the Plimex plant which focused on the manufacture of PVC and ABS ball valves.

Plimat PVC and ABS ranges are covered by a wide range of certification including WRAS approval for potable drinking water use in the UK, KIWA for similar use in mainland Europe, and the company operates to ISO9001 standards. Pipe and fittings are manufactured to all relevant BS and DIN standards.

*In order to keep our standard online prices competitive, we source from a variety of manufacturers (including Plimat), supplying a specification rather than a specific make or manufacturer. We do, however, understand that some customers prefer to stick to one brand and so can supply just Plimat pipes, fittings and valves should that be what you require. Please note that we do charge an additional surcharge on top of our online prices for this.

Plimat offer a wide range of both imperial and metric PVCU plastic pipe systems for use in industrial applications such as process lines, swimming pools and spas, and irrigation and domestic applications such as ponds, aquariums and hot tubs. Their PVC range includes plain socketed fittings from ½″ to 8″ and 20mm to 400mm, plain to BSP threaded and fully threaded fittings from ⅜″ to 4″, in addition to economy and industrial Plimex valves and non-return valves from ½" to 3″ and 20mm to 110mm. The Plimat and Plimex PVC ranges also include some other useful items such as butterfly, check and foot valves.

The Plimat range of ABS plastic pipe and fittings is available in imperial (inch) sizes only. Plain socketed fittings are manufactured in sizes between ½" to 8″. Plain to BSP threaded ABS fittings are available from ½″ up to 4″. Fully threaded fittings are limited to barrel nipples which are available in the same size ranges as the ABS plain to threaded items.
