This 90mm / 3" galvanised backing ring is compatible with 90mm or 3" PVC stub flanges, and 90mm or 3" full face gaskets.
It will slot over 90mm or 3" stub flange socket ends and be used with 90mm or 3" full face gaskets to bolt the flange to another stub and backing ring or a full face flange.
