The pressure rating of PVC pipe and fittings reduces with increasing temperature. To calculate the actual pressure rating of the product at each temperature, the noted pressure rating must be multiplied by the 'de-rating multiple', as explained on our PVC category page.

PVC pipe has a recommended operating temperature of 0 - 60° centigrade (32 - 140°F).

This 6" plain spigot to MBSP tank connector is compatible with 6" PVC plain socket-ended fittings, and 6" BSP female threaded fittings. It is not compatible with metric PVC pressure pipes or plain fittings; however, it is compatible with the 6" female threaded end of a metric plain to threaded fitting. 6" pipe actually has an outside diameter of 168.3mm.

This 6" plain spigot (measuring 168.3mm outer diameter) to MBSP tank connector will slot inside the socket end of a 6" fitting to be solvent welded. 6" female BSP threaded fittings will thread onto the male threaded end of this tank connector.
