The pressure rating of PVC pipe and fittings reduces with increasing temperature. To calculate the actual pressure rating of the product at each temperature, the noted pressure rating must be multiplied by the 'de-rating multiple', as explained on our PVC category page.

The temperature derating table of this fitting is as follows:

PVC pipe has a recommended operating temperature of 0 - 60° centigrade (32 - 140°F).

This 40mm plain stub flange is compatible with 40mm PVC pressure pipe, 40mm backing rings, and 40mm stub gaskets. It is not compatible with imperial PVC pressure pipes or fittings.

40mm pipes (measuring 40mm outer diameter) will slot inside the socket end of this stub flange to be solvent welded. 40mm backing rings will slot over the socket end to be bolted to other backing rings or full face flanges. 40mm stub gaskets will fit against the flat back of this stub flange to be used with the backing rings to create a seal.
