The pressure rating of PVC pipe and fittings reduces with increasing temperature. To calculate the actual pressure rating of the product at each temperature, the noted pressure rating must be multiplied by the 'de-rating multiple', as explained on our PVC category page.
The temperature derating table of this fitting is as follows:
PVC pipe has a recommended operating temperature of 0 - 60° centigrade (32 - 140°F).
This 3/8" : 16mm plain spigot hose adaptor is compatible with 3/8" PVC plain socket-ended fittings, and 16mm ID flexible hose. 3/8" pipe actually has an outside diameter of 17.6mm.
The 3/8" plain spigot end (measuring 17.6mm outer diameter) of this fitting will slot inside the socket end of a 3/8" fitting to be solvent welded. The 16mm barbed end of this fitting will slot inside a 16mm ID flexible hose to be secured by hose clips.
