The inch label for threads in imperial and metric fittings do not match the inches on a ruler.

The pressure rating of PVC pipe and fittings reduces with increasing temperature. To calculate the actual pressure rating of the product at each temperature, the noted pressure rating must be multiplied by the 'de-rating multiple', as explained on our PVC category page.

PVC pipe has a recommended operating temperature of 0 - 60° centigrade (32 - 140°F).
This 32mm x 1" plain to threaded MBSP stainless steel composite union is compatible with 32mm PVC pressure pipe and spigot fittings, and 1" BSP female threaded fittings. The solvent weld end is not compatible with inch PVC pressure pipe or spigot fittings. The BSP male threaded end is compatible with BSP female threads on both inch and metric fittings. 1" pipe actually has an outside diameter of 33.4mm.
32mm pipes or spigot fittings (measuring 32mm outer diameter) will slot inside the plain end of this union to be solvent welded. 1" female BSP threaded fittings will thread onto the male threaded end of this stainless steel composite union.
