The inch label for threads in imperial and metric fittings do not match the inches on a ruler.

The pressure rating of PVC pipe and fittings reduces with increasing temperature. To calculate the actual pressure rating of the product at each temperature, the noted pressure rating must be multiplied by the 'de-rating multiple', as explained on our PVC category page.
The temperature derating table of this fitting is as follows:
PVC pipe has a recommended operating temperature of 0 - 60° centigrade (32 - 140°F).
This 32mm x 1" plain to threaded spigot reinforced FBSP adaptor is compatible with 32mm PVC plain socket-ended fittings, and 1" BSP male threaded fittings. The solvent weld end is not compatible with inch PVC socket-ended fittings. The BSP female threaded end is compatible with BSP male threads on both inch and metric fittings. 1" pipe actually has an outside diameter of 33.4mm.
The 32mm spigot end (measuring 32mm outside diameter) of this plain to threaded spigot reinforced adaptor will slot inside the socket end of a 32mm fitting to be solvent welded. 1" male BSP threaded fittings will thread into the female threaded end of this spigot reinforced adaptor.
