The pressure rating of PVC pipe and fittings reduces with increasing temperature. To calculate the actual pressure rating of the product at each temperature, the noted pressure rating must be multiplied by the 'de-rating multiple', as explained on our PVC category page.

The temperature derating table of this fitting is as follows:

PVC pipe has a recommended operating temperature of 0 - 60° centigrade (32 - 140°F).

This 20mm x 1/2" plain to threaded 90° elbow is compatible with 20mm PVC pressure pipe and spigot fittings, and 1/2" BSP male threaded fittings. The solvent weld end is not compatible with inch PVC pressure pipe or spigot fittings. The BSP female threaded end is compatible with BSP male threads on both inch and metric fittings. 1/2" pipe actually has an outside diameter of 21.4mm.

20mm pipes or spigot fittings (measuring 20mm outer diameter) will slot inside the plain end of this 90° elbow to be solvent welded. 1/2" male BSP threaded fittings will thread into the female threaded end of this 90° elbow.
