The pressure rating of PVC pipe and fittings reduces with increasing temperature. To calculate the actual pressure rating of the product at each temperature, the noted pressure rating must be multiplied by the 'de-rating multiple', as explained on our PVC category page.

The temperature derating table of this fitting is as follows:

PVC pipe has a recommended operating temperature of 0 - 60° centigrade (32 - 140°F).

This 2" x 1 1/2" FBSP reducer is compatible with 2" male BSP threaded fittings, and 1 1/2" male BSP fittings, which will thread into the female BSP ends. It is not compatible with metric PVC pressure pipes or plain fittings; however, it is compatible with the 2" or 1 1/2" male BSP threaded end of a metric plain to threaded fitting.
