The inch label for threads in imperial and metric fittings do not match the inches on a ruler.

The pressure rating of PVC pipe and fittings reduces with increasing temperature. To calculate the actual pressure rating of the product at each temperature, the noted pressure rating must be multiplied by the 'de-rating multiple', as explained on our PVC category page.
The temperature derating table of this fitting is as follows:
PVC pipe has a recommended operating temperature of 0 - 60° centigrade (32 - 140°F).
This 2" plain to threaded socket is compatible with 2" PVC pressure pipe and spigot fittings, and 2" BSP male threaded fittings. It is not compatible with metric PVC pressure pipes or plain fittings; however, it is compatible with the 2" male threaded end of a metric plain to threaded fitting. 2" pipe actually has an outside diameter of 60.3mm.
2" pipes or spigot fittings (measuring 60.3mm outer diameter) will slot inside the plain end of this socket to be solvent welded. 2" male BSP threaded fittings will thread into the female threaded end of this socket.
