The pressure rating of PVC pipe and fittings reduces with increasing temperature. To calculate the actual pressure rating of the product at each temperature, the noted pressure rating must be multiplied by the 'de-rating multiple', as explained on our PVC category page.

PVC pipe has a recommended operating temperature of 0 - 60° centigrade (32 - 140°F).

This 16mm x 16/18mm plain spigot hose connector is compatible with 16mm PVC pressure socket fittings, and 16mm to 18mm ID flexible hoses. It is not compatible with imperial PVC pressure pipes or fittings.

The 16mm outer diameter on the spigot end of this spigot hose connector will slot inside the socket end of a plain 16mm fitting. 16mm to 18mm ID flexible hoses will push over the 16mm/18mm barbed end of this spigot hose connector and be secured by adjustable hose clips.
