The pressure rating of PVC pipe and fittings reduces with increasing temperature. To calculate the actual pressure rating of the product at each temperature, the noted pressure rating must be multiplied by the 'de-rating multiple', as explained on our PVC category page.
The temperature derating table of this fitting is as follows:
PVC pipe has a recommended operating temperature of 0 - 60° centigrade (32 - 140°F).
This 1/2" plain 90° bend is compatible with 1/2" PVC pressure pipe and spigot fittings. It is not compatible with metric PVC pressure pipes or fittings. 1/2" pipe actually has an outside diameter of 21.4mm.
1/2" pipes or spigot fittings (measuring 21.4mm outer diameter) will slot inside the ends of this 90° bend to be solvent welded.
