The pressure rating of PVC pipe and fittings reduces with increasing temperature. To calculate the actual pressure rating of the product at each temperature, the noted pressure rating must be multiplied by the 'de-rating multiple', as explained on our PVC category page.
The temperature derating table of this fitting is as follows:
PVC pipe has a recommended operating temperature of 0 - 60° centigrade (32 - 140°F).
This 1" plain end cap is compatible with 1" PVC pressure pipe and spigot fittings. It is not compatible with metric PVC pressure pipes or fittings. 1" pipe actually has an outside diameter of 33.4mm.
1" pipes or spigot fittings (measuring 33.4mm outer diameter) will slot inside this end cap to be solvent welded.
