The pressure rating of PVC pipe and fittings reduces with increasing temperature. To calculate the actual pressure rating of the product at each temperature, the noted pressure rating must be multiplied by the 'de-rating multiple', as explained on our PVC category page.

PVC pipe has a recommended operating temperature of 0 - 60° centigrade (32 - 140°F).

This 1 1/4" plain to threaded MBSP adaptor is compatible with 1 1/4" PVC pressure pipe and spigot fittings, and 1 1/4" BSP female threaded fittings. It is not compatible with metric PVC pressure pipes or plain fittings; however, it is compatible with the 1 1/4" female threaded end of a metric plain to threaded fitting. 1 1/4" pipe actually has an outside diameter of 42.2mm.

1 1/4" pipes or spigot fittings (measuring 42.2mm outer diameter) will slot inside the socket end of this MBSP adaptor to be solvent welded. 1 1/4" female BSP threaded fittings will thread onto the male threaded end of this adaptor.
