The pressure rating of PVC pipe and fittings reduces with increasing temperature. To calculate the actual pressure rating of the product at each temperature, the noted pressure rating must be multiplied by the 'de-rating multiple', as explained on our PVC category page.

PVC pipe has a recommended operating temperature of 0 - 60° centigrade (32 - 140°F).

This 1 1/4" x 3/4" plain reducing bush is compatible with 1 1/4" PVC socket fittings and 3/4" PVC pressure pipe and spigot fittings. It is not compatible with metric PVC pressure pipes or fittings. 1 1/4" pipe actually has an outside diameter of 42.2mm and 3/4" pipe actually has an outside diameter of 26.7mm.

The 1 1/4" (measuring 42.2mm) outer diameter of this reducing bush will slot inside the socket end of a 1 1/4" fitting. 3/4" pipe or spigot fittings (measuring 26.7mm outer diameter) will slot inside the 3/4" socket end of this reducing bush.
