The pressure rating of PVC pipe and fittings reduces with increasing temperature. To calculate the actual pressure rating of the product at each temperature, the noted pressure rating must be multiplied by the 'de-rating multiple', as explained on our PVC category page.

PVC pipe has a recommended operating temperature of 0 - 60° centigrade (32 - 140°F).

This 1 1/2" : 50mm plain spigot hose adaptor is compatible with 1 1/2" PVC plain socket-ended fittings, and 50mm ID flexible hose. 1 1/2" pipe actually has an outside diameter of 48.3mm.

The 1 1/2" plain spigot end (measuring 48.3mm outer diameter) of this fitting will slot inside the socket end of a 1 1/2" fitting to be solvent welded. The 50mm barbed end of this fitting will slot inside a 50mm ID flexible hose to be secured by hose clips.
